Five people have died and 40 others were injured when a tour bus carrying Dutch tourists overturned in a remote Alpine region of eastern Switzerland. The accident occurred on Thursday near the village of Susch in the canton of Grisons.

Police announced the fatalities and injuries on Friday, a day after the bus, which was carrying 45 people, flipped and landed in a construction zone. The remote location of the crash presented challenges for emergency services.
