An Interpol Red Notice has been issued for Anastasiia Berezovska, 39, a Ukrainian national, who is the main suspect in a parcel bomb attack in Monaco that seriously injured three people, including a 13-year-old.

The incident occurred just before 21:00 local time on Monday when an individual left a package in the entrance hall of a small apartment building. The package detonated shortly afterwards as three residents were entering.

Berezovska is wanted by Monegasque authorities for attempted murder, placing an explosive device on a public road with criminal intent, and criminal conspiracy. Police are investigating potential accomplices. CCTV footage showed the suspect, wearing a dark bucket hat, fleeing towards the French commune of Beausoleil.

Interpol's notice describes Berezovska as having dark shoulder-length hair and a tattoo of what appears to be a snake on her right arm. She is also reported to speak German. An international arrest warrant has been issued, and she is currently on the run.

Monaco's prosecutor commended the swift cooperation between Monaco and French police in identifying the suspect. In Germany, Hessian Police confirmed that special forces searched the rented apartment of a 39-year-old Ukrainian woman in the Main-Taunus district on Thursday, also searching and seizing a vehicle she used. Evidence secured is being transferred to Monegasque authorities, who are being supported by German law enforcement.

Prince Albert II of Monaco condemned the incident as a "heinous crime." The three victims were hospitalized. The two adult victims sustained serious injuries and were taken to Nice University Hospital, while the child, who suffered minor injuries, was admitted to Lenval children's hospital in Nice. As of Wednesday, the male victim was no longer in a life-threatening condition, but the female victim's condition remained unstable.

Local reports indicate the attack may have targeted Vadym Yermolaiev, 58, a wealthy real estate developer living in Monaco. Yermolaiev, a Cypriot citizen who renounced his Ukrainian citizenship in 2019, has significant business interests in Crimea and has been subject to Ukrainian sanctions since 2023. Forbes magazine ranked him as the 39th wealthiest Ukrainian in 2020 with an estimated fortune of $230 million.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to apprehend Berezovska and identify any potential accomplices.
