Israeli attacks have resulted in the deaths of five Palestinians in Gaza and one teenager in the occupied West Bank. The incidents occurred on Monday, according to reports from Palestinian news agency Wafa and the Palestinian health ministry.

In Gaza, an Israeli drone strike on the Wadi al-Salqa bridge killed eight-year-old Malik Wael Abu Shaweesh, along with Ali Fayez Isbaitan and Hassan Salman al-Hanajra. Later the same day, two individuals were killed and 27 wounded in an Israeli airstrike on a beach in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.

In the West Bank, 15-year-old Ahmad Jawad Jaber died from wounds sustained after being shot in the chest and head during an Israeli raid in the Umm al-Sharayit neighborhood of el-Bireh, near Ramallah. Laila Ghannam, the governor of Ramallah and el-Bireh, was present at the hospital where the teenager's body was taken.

Ghannam described the killing as a "clear-cut execution in broad daylight" and a "disgrace to all institutions who claim to uphold democracy and human rights." The Palestinian health ministry confirmed the teenager's death.

Israeli human rights group B'Tselem released a report on Monday stating that Israeli forces have killed 241 Palestinian children and teenagers in the West Bank since October 7, 2023. B'Tselem Executive Director Yuli Novak commented that the "widespread, unprecedented killing of Palestinian children and teenagers in the West Bank is the result of a broader Israeli policy that enables the killing of Palestinians with virtually no accountability."

The B'Tselem report also noted that Israeli authorities have refused to return some of the children's bodies to their families. The group's data indicates that since October 7, 2023, at least 1,085 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank by Israeli forces or settlers.

According to figures from the Gaza health ministry, over 73,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza during the same period. B'Tselem's report highlighted specific cases, including the death of a seven-month-old baby named Sam Abu Heikel.

These events occur amidst ongoing conflict and heightened tensions in the region, with significant loss of life reported on both sides, though Palestinian casualties have been substantially higher, particularly in Gaza.
