At least two Palestinians were killed and four others injured in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip over the past 48 hours, according to Gaza's Ministry of Health. The ongoing strikes occur as many victims of previous bombardments remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to rescue crews.

In the central city of Deir el-Balah, an Israeli drone strike targeted the al-Hasanat family without warning on Saturday. The attack killed one person and wounded others in an area crowded with tents housing displaced people. Ambulance and civil defense teams responded, transporting several injured individuals to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

Al Jazeera's Ashraf Abu Amra reported from Deir el-Balah that Israeli forces also conducted two demolition operations in the city, causing targeted houses to collapse. Israeli troops advanced into the eastern part of the city, striking multiple homes and positioning themselves near civilian areas along the eastern perimeter.

Strikes and home demolitions were also reported in other parts of the Gaza Strip, including the southern city of Khan Younis, where Israeli forces shelled civilian areas and camps for displaced Palestinians. Israeli forces have reportedly expanded their presence in eastern Gaza City, demolishing property and infrastructure.

Further south, a woman was wounded by Israeli gunfire near the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. Israeli artillery attacks were also reported near the Bureij refugee camp and in the eastern parts of the Strip.

Abu Amra noted an intensification of Israeli air and artillery attacks in areas designated as “humanitarian zones.” These zones, intended to concentrate civilians, now hold over two million people in approximately 30 percent of Gaza's total area.

The incidents highlight the continued violence impacting civilian populations in Gaza, with rescue efforts hampered by the scale of destruction and ongoing hostilities. The Ministry of Health has stated that many victims of past strikes are still buried under debris.

These attacks follow a period of heightened military activity in Gaza, with Israeli forces continuing operations in densely populated civilian areas. The situation underscores the challenges faced by residents and aid workers in accessing those in need of medical attention or rescue.
