Kenyan wildlife officials have launched an investigation into the mysterious deaths of 15 elephants in the Amboseli National Park over the past month. The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) reported that ten of the deceased animals exhibited signs of partial paralysis before succumbing within a two-day period. The remaining five carcasses were too degraded or had been scavenged by predators, preventing a definitive cause of death from being determined.

The majority of the elephants found dead were females and their young calves, with only one male identified among the deceased. The incidents occurred in the Kimana sanctuary and Kuku ranch areas, which are adjacent to the main national park.
