A Pennsylvania woman has been charged with homicide in the alleged stabbing deaths of her husband and 3-year-old son at a family resort in the Poconos. The incident occurred at the Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun, Pocono Township.

Authorities responded to a room at the resort on Monday after receiving a 911 call from a suicidal individual. The caller, identified in a criminal complaint as 27-year-old Metallica Rose Harrison, reported that she was too weak to stab herself and needed police assistance.

During the 911 call, Harrison allegedly stated that her husband and son were already deceased in the room and did not request help for them. Responding officers found her husband, Charles Harrison, and their son, identified as T.H., dead on mattresses in the room. Charles Harrison had multiple stab wounds to the chest, and the child appeared to have a single stab wound to the chest, according to the complaint.

Harrison herself sustained cuts on her left wrist and superficial punctures about the neck. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment. During transport, she allegedly expressed frustration about blood clotting, reportedly stating, "Everyday, I work so hard. To be the best person, the best mother, the best wife. It wasn't supposed to end like this. I was supposed to have my happy family. That's what I envisioned since I was a child."

According to the complaint, when a detective attempted to speak with Harrison after advising her of her Miranda rights, she responded that she was suicidal, not stupid, and declined to speak with police. Authorities stated that no defensive wounds were observed on her body.

Monroe County District Attorney Mike Mancuso described the incident as a "violent domestic tragedy" while announcing the charges. Pocono Township Police Department issued a statement confirming the case is an isolated domestic tragedy with no threat to the community.

Metallica Rose Harrison is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing. Online court records do not yet list attorney information for her. The Monroe County coroner has scheduled autopsies for the victims later this week.

The complaint details Harrison's alleged actions and statements, leading to the charges of two counts of criminal homicide.
