Nicholas Brandram, 44, the man suspected of pushing a woman into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge in 2017, has been found dead at his home.

Brandram was under investigation in the so-called "Putney pusher" case, which gained notoriety after CCTV footage showed the woman narrowly avoiding being struck by a bus in a seemingly unprovoked attack. He was arrested in June of this year on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm, though he had been released under investigation.

Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers attended Brandram's home in Chiswick on Tuesday evening alongside paramedics after he was found unresponsive. A 44-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The force stated that his death is being treated as unexpected but is not believed to be suspicious. Next-of-kin have been informed.

During his arrest in June concerning the Putney Bridge incident, Brandram was also taken into custody on suspicion of drug possession.
