A 20-year-old U.S. Marine stationed at Futenma Air Base in Okinawa, Japan, has been indicted on charges of robbery and murder in connection with the death of a woman last month. Lance Corporal Devin Jacob Ballard was arrested following the Oct. 3 incident.

Authorities allege that Ballard strangled a 39-year-old resident of Naha City by using a telephone receiver cord to strangle her inside a hotel room.
