A woman who alleges she was raped by Russell Brand in 2004 told police she "closed my eyes and tried not to be there" while the attack took place. The complainant's statement was shown to the jury at Southwark Crown Court, where Brand faces seven charges including three counts of rape, three of sexual assault, and one of indecent assault.

Brand, 51, denies all charges. The allegations, made by six women, span a decade between 1999 and 2009. He has stated that any sexual contact was consensual.

In a video interview with an officer presented to the court, the woman described speaking with Brand about his show "Big Brother's Big Mouth" at a birthday party in Soho, London, in 2004. She stated that Brand "literally just grabbed my boobs out of nowhere" during their conversation. Shortly after, she alleges he dragged her into the toilets, which were flooded, unzipped himself, and orally raped her.

She is the third complainant to testify and the second to allege rape. Describing the moments after the alleged assault, she recalled Brand's expression as "a big grin - it felt like a clown, (with) that sort of weird look in the eye." She said the alleged rape was "swift" and left her in disbelief and shock.

During the alleged incident, she recounted, "Part of me was saying just get it over with so you can get out of here. I just closed my eyes and tried not to be there. I just remember it felt like a force. I definitely said I don't want to do this."

After the alleged rape, the woman, who was in her 20s at the time, said Brand turned to her and suggested they "should swap numbers now."
