A civilian who confronted the gunman during a deadly shooting at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, has spoken out about his actions. Jordan Salinas, 35, told ABC News he saw the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Chad Williams, aiming a rifle at passing vehicles.

Salinas' intervention, alongside an armed off-duty Idaho State Police trooper, is credited by authorities with driving the suspect from the scene and potentially preventing further loss of life. The shooting, which occurred Saturday afternoon, resulted in three fatalities and seven injuries. Williams later died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

"I peeked around the right-hand side of that sign closest to the road, and that's when I saw the individual with his rifle pointed at the vehicles," Salinas recounted. He observed the suspect appeared calm while targeting cars, but this changed immediately once shots were fired in his direction. "All that bravado he had immediately crumbled," Salinas added.

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks stated that the actions of Salinas and the trooper "prevented further casualties." The restaurant is situated in a busy shopping area, and police noted the chaotic nature of the scene, with 911 dispatchers hearing screams and gunfire during emergency calls.

Of the seven individuals injured, five remained hospitalized on Sunday, with two in critical condition, according to Chief Hicks. Investigators believe Williams acted alone, and his motive is still under investigation. His family is reportedly cooperating with law enforcement.

Lynsi Snyder, president of In-N-Out Burger, confirmed via social media that one of the company's employees was among those killed in the incident. "In-N-Out will be mourning with the families and praying for them as they tread through a very painful season," Snyder stated.

The FBI is providing assistance in the ongoing investigation. Authorities are continuing to appeal for any individuals with information or video footage related to the shooting to come forward.

This incident occurred at approximately 2:29 p.m. on Saturday. The location near a popular shopping district meant a large number of people could have been in the vicinity at the time of the attack. The investigation is actively seeking to piece together the events leading up to and during the shooting.
