An Israeli air attack on Kfar Reman in southern Lebanon on Monday morning has resulted in the deaths of at least 10 people, with two others reported missing. Among the fatalities was a two-month-old infant.

The strike on the town in the Nabatieh district occurred just a day after Israeli air raids on the nearby town of Arab Salim claimed the lives of at least seven people and wounded 20 others. The Israeli military also targeted a residential area in Deir al-Zahrani, southern Lebanon, overnight, following claims of an explosive drone launch from a nearby Hezbollah facility.

Al Jazeera correspondent Zeina Khodr reported from Kfar Reman that "uncertainty and fear" permeated the area following the intensified attacks over the past 48 hours. She described scenes where "civilians are being killed" and "residential homes are being destroyed," with recovery efforts by civil defense workers continuing through the night.

These attacks come despite a United States-brokered ceasefire agreement established in June between Israel and Lebanon. The continued strikes raise concerns about regional stability and the adherence to established de-escalation measures.

The Israeli military stated that its forces targeted a building near a Hezbollah facility, alleging it was used to launch an explosive drone. This justification highlights the ongoing military exchanges between Israel and Hezbollah, which have escalated in recent periods.
