Utah Republican Sen. John Curtis has formally requested that the Senate Judiciary Committee launch an investigation into the alleged use of presidential family relationships for private financial gain. Curtis is urging Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and Ranking Member Dick Durbin to subpoena both Donald Trump Jr., son of former President Donald Trump, and Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden, as part of this probe.

The senator's call for an investigation stems from reports that Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding afterparty was allegedly funded by a Russian oligarch with close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
